United and Delta are offering round-trip flights from Dallas (DFW) to Bangkok (HKG) for $848 with two connections. Flights September to November 15.

This fare allows stopovers in Japan for $100 each, but I wasn’t able to price any. They probably exist, but you’ll need to keep trying dates until you find one.

United is trying to stay competitive (and failing) by offering flights WITH-STOPS for $133. Fare is reversible (SAN to DFW / DAL).
