Air France, KLM and Delta have round-trip flights from Dallas (DFW) to Reykjavik, Iceland (KEF) for $229 with one or two connections. Flights scattered November to March. 7-day minimum stay required.

Note: This is a great price for flights, but the itinerary requires either long connection times, or two connections. I thought it was worth mentioning because the price may make hanging out in the airports worth it.

Note: Hartford flight availability becomes only TUE/WED/SAT after February. Also No June or July for Hartford. Before then, it’s available on most days of the week.

Note: “Basic economy” fares do not include a free carry-on bag. Only a personal item (like a small-backpack) is free. Checked bags cost +$25. No seat selection they will be randomly assigned prior to boarding. If you have the United MileagePlus credit-card, use the “free checked bag” perk.

AA and British Airways have round-trip flights from Dallas (DFW) to Madrid (MAD) for $582, NONSTOP. Flights scattered from January to March. Flight may operate as a BA or AA code-share.

Note: We’ve seen flights to Madrid for cheaper in the past, but those deals usually require a connection somewhere. This is a great price if you rather fly NONSTOP which normally cost about $1200.
