A few notes about this deal: The Flying Blue website is a janky mess. Sometimes you’ll see a date on the fare calendar, but when you pull up the details for that date, the discount isn’t there. Taxes/Fees on FlyingBlue redemptions are excessive and are now $50 more than they were last year. You should value your points at about 0.01 to 0.015 cents each. Then do the math to come up with whether or not it’s a good use. In this case, Nonstop DFW-CDG on Air France for $546 is pretty-good, but if you can convert your miles at a greater value elsewhere, then maybe it’s not worth it to you.
