United has cheap round-trip airfare from Dallas (DFW) to Tokyo, Japan (NRT) available for $869 with a connection. Fare is valid for cherry-blossom season. The example dates should get you there around the time the petals start falling. Flights from March to June.

Anywhere from the end of March until the end of April is one of my favorite times to be in Japan.

Here are a few inexpensive Tokyo hotels that I’ve stayed in and I like: Hotel Monterey Hanzomon / Hotel Asia Center of Japan  / Hotel Niwa Tokyo. Of the three, Niwa and the Monterey Hanzomon were pretty awesome. Hotel Asia Center was very inexpensive though.
