American Airlines is offering round-trip flights from Dallas (DFW) to Belize (BZE) from $299, NONSTOPS available. Flights from October to June-2016. See the Flight Details section for example dates.

Update: United is offering flights with a connection for $221. Their flights cover September and November, no weekend departures.

American’s cheapest nonstop flights start in November. Southwest flights have a stop, so the better deal will be the AA flights unless you like airports. However, if you can’t find a good set of dates on AA, maybe Southwest will have them, so check both airlines.

I was able to pull up this fare on Priceline, and it should be available on most other OTAs such as Orbitz.

Note: Orbitz and Priceline allows you to cancel your flight without fee or penalty before 10 PM central time the day after you purchase. As deals sell-out or expire quickly, this policy will allow you to “lock-in” the cheap fare while you sort out a plan. Just keep in mind that after 10 PM the next day, you will not be able to cancel without the regular penalty.

Southwest Airlines has no cancel or change fees at all. If you cancel within 24-hours, they’ll reverse the credit card purchase. After 24-hours, you’ll receive a credit to your account that is valid for 1-year. If you’re wanting flexibility, book on Southwest.

Note that the DOT doesn’t enforce 24-hour free cancellation on tickets less than 7-days away from departure, so some airlines and OTAs allow it while some do not. On Orbitz, you can easily see if your ticket allows a free cancellation, just look for “FREE Cancel” next to the price of the ticket.
