JetBlue, Delta, and American Airlines have round-trip flights from Dallas (DFW) to Boston, Orlando, Palm Springs, Tampa, or Pensacola (BOS, MCO, PSP, TPA, PNS) for $139-$164, NONSTOP. Boston flights September to December. All other flights are between September and June. Very few weekends available. Origin/Destination reversible. No Christmas dates available.

A Carry-on bag and also a personal item is allowed for free on Delta. You can avoid paying for seat selection by accepting the randomly assigned seat at the gate.

If you travel on Delta often, consider getting their credit card. Most of their cards allow for a free checked bag perk and a 15% discount on points redemptions. Visit the CardRatings.com website for a list of the best travel rewards credit card offers (link).

If you use the Citi® / AAdvantage® Platinum Select® World Elite Mastercard® with AA flights, you get: a 25% inflight food and beverage discount, a $125 AA flight discount after you spend $20,000 or more in purchases during your card year, and your first checked bag is free on domestic American Airlines flights for you and up to four companions traveling on the same reservation.

JetBlue’s “Basic” fares only allow a small personal item (17 x 13 x 8 inches), like a Jansport SuperBreak backpack without a fee. A regular sized carry-on bag will incur a bag fee. To avoid bag fees, consider using a credit card with the “first free checked bag” perk.

If you have the JetBlue Plus Card, the first checked-bag for you and up to 3 of your companions is free, you get 10% of your points back as a bonus after you redeem and travel on a JetBlue-operated Award Flight, and a 50% discount on inflight food purchases on JetBlue-operated flights.

You can usually save more money by booking your flight+hotel together as a package instead of separately.

Here are some other offers that we think are worth mentioning. List updated 12/012024.

We now list coupon codes, discount codes, gift card discounts, and credit card offers that have a better value than their historical averages.

  • Airfare/Hotel coupons on Hopper: (updated daily-ish) Hopper always has discount coupons on their main page. The full list is on Hopper’s website. Keep in mind that Hopper is an OTA, so don’t expect them to honor the free 24-hour cancellation period, or to have the lowest base fare price. Hopper will try to up-sell you on a lot of extras like “cancel for any reason” policies, if you decide to use Hopper we advise that you decline all of those extras.
  • It is common to find Southwest and Alaska Airlines gift-cards for sale at a discount of about -$70 to -$20 off the redeemable value at Costco and Sam’s Club. Before you finalize your booking on either of these airlines, you should check to see if you can save more money by using a gift card.
