The prices and details in this post are accurate only up to the point of the last update to this post (see time-stamps above). If this post is several days old, then there is a good chance that prices and availability have changed. This website contains references to airfare and accommodation from companies that may compensate this site for the referral to their website when you click on their link or purchase travel.

Southwest Airlines has round-trip flights from Dallas (DAL) to New Orleans (MSY) for $88, NONSTOP. $44 each way. Cheapest Flights TUE/WED/SAT February to May. No FRI/SUN flights. Fare is reversible. See the Flight Details section of this post for example booking dates.

If you’re flying on Southwest Airlines, be sure to use the Southwest Vacations Coupon Code to save up to an extra $200 off when you book a Flight + Hotel package. Promo ends 01/18/16.

Note: This sale often gets matched by the other major airlines, sometimes for a cheaper price. You may want to check your dates on BookingBuddy to see if any of the other airlines have better prices and available dates. At the moment, there are some flights being offered by American Airlines at this price, but the availability is pretty close to non-existent.

If you want to see other deals that are still bookable you should check out the “Bookable Deals” page on our site. It filters out deals that have expired, or have low availability.

To save the most money, use the travel coupon codes available at the bottom of this post. If you’re booking on Southwest, it’s usually cheaper to buy a Flight + Hotel package on Southwest Vacations than booking both separately. For other airlines, Priceline and Travelocity tend to have cheaper package deals than what the airlines offer on their site. Compare the cost of your vacation package to the cost of a flight and hotel before finalizing the purchase.

Southwest never charges a change or cancellation fee. If you cancel within 24-hours they will reverse the credit card charge. If you cancel before your flight, they will give you a travel voucher that you can apply for future travel valued at the full price you paid. Voucher isn’t transferable and expires after 1-year, but it beats getting hit with a change fee.

To find this fare on Southwest Airlines you need to be using the Flexible Dates Calendar. If you’re randomly plugging in dates you’re going to have a hard time finding discount fares.
